Shelter Home and Respite

House Parents

We are accepting full-time house parent applications for the Shelter Home and Respite Care programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as parents and authority role models.
  • Parent youth in a manner consistent with the treatment goals and objectives.
  • Supervise and approve the whereabouts of youth in their care at all times.
  • Ensure a healthy physical environment and prepare nutritious meals for youth.
  • Participate in weekly meetings with counselor and/or case manager.

Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate 
  • Be at least 22 years of age and have at least one year of full-time equivalent paid or volunteer experience in the direct provision of care of children and youth  
  • Be a legally married couple, married at least two years 
  • A valid driver’s license and good driving record  
  • Be in good physical and mental health, emotionally mature and stable 
  • Not have been convicted or plead guilty to any felony offense in violation of Sections 959.13, 2903, 2905, 2907, 2909, 2911, 2917, 2919, 2923, 2925, 2927.12, 3716.11 or 4511.19 of the Ohio Revised Code.

Safe Landing Youth Shelter

Case Manager

Safe Landing is is seeking an individual to provide direct case management services to youth between the ages of 11 – 18 in a community-based, residential program. The Case Manager will assist with coordinating care within the program as well as with community-based providers. The Case Manager will provide guidance in skill-building for lifelong sufficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Associate’s Degree in Social Work, Human Services, Behavioral Health or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Maintain full compliance with criminal background check requirements.
  • Valid driver’s license

Safe Landing Youth Shelter

Group Life Supervisor

Safe Landing is looking for individuals who are passionate about working with adolescents and interested in serving youth and families experiencing crises. Safe Landing is now accepting applications for part-time and full-time staff for all shifts. Graduate and undergraduate student applications welcome!

Responsibilities:

  • Provide line of sight supervision of youth
  • Supervise and facilitate group activities including daily psycho-educational groups
  • Implement the daily schedule
  • Manage office responsibilities including crisis hotline, referrals, intakes, and departures.
  • Maintain treatment directives as noted by counselor

  • Minimum 21 years of age
